Rounds and points system

The Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation is pleased to inform that in the current Endurance Season, an exciting new series of rides called The Bahrain Challenge has been added to the programme.

The Bahrain Challenge consists of three FEI International rides:

In each round, the first ten who have officially completed the ride will receive a prize and awards will be given to all other official finishers.

The Bahrain Challenge is a dual championship, one for the riders and the other for the horses.
To be eligible for a position in the Bahrain Challenge at the end of the three rounds, a horse and the rider must officially complete at least two of the three rounds, not necessarily as a combination.

To be declared Winner of the Bahrain Challenge, the horse and the rider must win one of the three rounds.

Points

Classification 1 2 3 4 5

Equal Points (A tie)

In deciding a tie, the following will be observed:

1.
A horse which has been eliminated in any one of the three rounds due to metabolic reasons and its rider shall be considered only after all others concerned in the tie.
(Note: It is the riders’ and trainers’ responsibility to ensure that horses retired on the route are officially examined.)
2.
The number of times a rider and his horse have been classified as a combination in the three rounds shall be considered first.
3.
The position that the horse has secured in the Best Conditioned Horse competition in the three rounds shall be considered after that.
4.
Finally, a higher placing at the finish shall be considered before a lower placing.

Valuable prizes will be awarded to both riders and horses down to the 10th position in the Bahrain Challenge. Winners will receive specially made replicas of the exclusive Bahrain Challenge Trophy. Their names shall be written on the original trophy that shall be exhibited permanently at the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation and shown at the venues hosting future Bahrain Challenge rides.

In case a tie cannot be decided, all the riders and horses concerned shall be declared for the respective position in the Bahrain Challenge. In such a case, the prizes announced for the respective places will be added and divided equally.
(Note: There may be some changes to be declared later on if necessary)
